Another real life story of a patient of Dr Fan. The technique of Oral Self Examination to detect cancer, akin to breast self examination, was brought to Singapore for the first time by Dr Fan during the 2008 Mouth Cancer Awareness Week. Singapore was the first country outside India to be introduced this technique.
